Hello everyone! First of all, thank you to every single player who has tried Realm of Echoes! This project has been an incredible learning experience and your support throughout its evolution means everything to me.
The initial release faced some technical challenges - from performance hiccups to unexpected bugs - and I want to sincerely thank the community for your patience as we worked through these issues. Over the past months, we've implemented numerous fixes addressing core gameplay problems, though I recognize some optimization opportunities remain, particularly around device-specific frame rate stability.
After careful consideration, I've made the difficult decision to shift my primary development focus. While Realm of Echoes will remain available (and critical bugs will still be addressed), my creative energy is now directed toward an exciting new Godot project that builds upon everything we've learned.
Why This Transition Makes Sense:
- Technical Foundations: The new project uses an improved architecture from day one, avoiding previous limitations
- Visual Evolution: Expect enhanced particle systems, refined animations, and overall greater polish
This isn't goodbye to Realm of Echoes - it's taking everything that worked (and lessons from what didn't) to create something even better. I'll be sharing regular devlogs about the new project's progress, and would love to hear which features you'd most like to see carry forward!
